Where did my topic go?

Yesterday, I started a topic to find an easier way to set up a DirecTV dish. Now I can't find the topic or the responses anywhere. Where did they go?

It looks like a couple of days worth of new topics, and replies to old and new topics alike.

Our service provider ForumCo had a disk failure early this morning. Consequently the forum had to be restored from the latest backup. The backup was 21 hours old and explains why yesterday's topics have disappeared.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

I've had issues like this.. but it was my fault because I "Previewed" it but didn't "Submit" it. Possibly your situation?

I posted a detailed reply to a topic on rear kitchens, and my reply vanished after a few moments.

I also had a "2 new messages" thingy on my private messages link, but the weren't new messages; I'd received and responded to them days ago.

Failures are understandable. I'll repost and hope for repeat replies. Hope it's nothing big. Our bank had a major computer outage this morning and they are not back on line yet.

Joyce asked if you could tell her how to do that. She'd like to be able to erase, at will, some of my verbal replies
