2009 2955rl Anniversary Edition

Ordered late 2008 with the new interior colors, slide toppers, solar panel, 4- 6volt Interstate, 1500 watt inverter.
This has been a really great 5er for us. No major issues at all with this trailer which we have used every year at 40 plus days. Now retired going on multiple 3 &4 week trips. Tires, Batteries, TV's, MCD day/night blinds, etc. as required.
No plans to buy new as we like the 2 slide option to get into smaller sites when dry camping.

We have a 1998 2955RL. Bought used when one year old. Done numerous mods and repairs. Used 1/2 time for 8 years and full time for 7 years. Best purchase I ever made!

First trailer 2001 2880 bought when 1 yr old. Traded in on new 2010 3000RK and still have..Will be the last one. About 3 yrs left for using it.

We have a 2012 and wouldn’t trade it for a brand new one. It was the first year of hydraulic leveling. We have completely remodeled the inside, all new furniture, tv’s, mattress, installed a basement fridge, new steps, 2 sets of tires (14 ply Sailun), and many other upgrades. Still using the original AC units, original fridge, original water heater, original furnace…..none of them have been touched! Everything works exactly like it did brand new. We love our Montana! I’m a mobile rv tech and I see all the new ones, every brand, and none of them are built anywhere near as good as our “old” 2012.

Will keep using it as long as it meets our needs and doesn’t become a money pit.
Had lots of problems in the first year, it spent 3 months at the dealership getting repairs.
Installed fans behind the 2118 fridge because it didn’t work properly when it got hot out. That resolved it.
When it was about 3 years old, the roof came loose at the front cap while traveling (not pretty).
Upgraded to the RVArmor roof.
Upgraded to disc brakes, lithium batteries (2).
We store it under a shed when not in use to protect it.

We have a 2011 Montana Mountaineer 295RKD purchased new.

2010 Montana Mountaineer 326RLT. Purchased it new in Oct 2009. 3 flat tires, then we switched to .17.5" H Rated Goodyears. Replaced front landing legs, converter, re-strung numerous day-night shades, replaced toilet. Shower base cracked so replaced along with new wall surround and added 3/4" rubber matt under shower base to absorb weight in shower. New matress. Added washer/dryer. Replaced framework holding up spare tire. Added water softner with carbon and particle filters. Added an inverter to run air compressor. Added fan to bedroom vent. It's been a good one. We were Winter Texans for 10 years. Don't do that anymore and don't get out that much so may be nearing the end of a good run.

We started in 1978 with a 1977 Starcraft folddown. Had it until 2002. Then a Coachman Cascade trailer which we traded for our current Montana. Besides getting educated on the do's/don'ts/fixes, we have had good experiences with all of our RV's.

My montana is a 2003. We don't really tow it, it sits on some land we have and is used for camping. It has the issue where the fiberglass is cracked under the front slide indicating that it may have a broken weld which is quite common.
I had a 2004 forest river cedar creek, and have a 2007 wildcat. I also have a 1995 Georgie boy motorhome that everything still works on. I sold my 2010 Coachman Northridge recently to get my 2011 winnebago motorhome. All that I have and have had, need dome work and TLC, but I would never buy new. I think the older ones are much better built. If the bones, and roof are good and they have been well cared for, and the price is right then I am in.

I have also made some good money buying older rvs, doing some minor repairs, camping in yhem for a few years and then selling them for something else that catches my eye.

Ours is a 2002 3280RL, we purchased in 2019. I have done several upgrades (pin box, brakes, equalizers, heavy duty shackles & wet bolts, G rated tires, 75 amp distribution box, flatscreen TV’s, 2nd AC w/heat strip, pedestal base for the dinning room table so we can move it easier, back up & side cameras, key pad door lock). When we bought it, it had a 3 section reclining couch, and newer hid-a bed covered in the pleather. Its system, etc. are still mostly stock.

We bought our fiver in 2017 and have enjoyed it since. We thought about replacing it with a newer model but we couldn't find anything that matches the quality of our 2001 Montana. I retired in December, a few years after my DW retired. We will be full timing after we sell our house. We have remodeled most of the interior, upgraded to a chair height toilet, and will be adding a bank of lithium batteries and a 3000 watt inverter charger once the weather breaks. Our first trip in the spring will be to view the solar eclipse with friends. We love our Montana!

2005 2955 RL bought used in 2013. I have done a few mods and am totally happy with my trailer, no plans on upgrading!

I have a gently used 2011 Montana Mountaineer 326RLT. Perfect for what we do. Occasional RV travelers, when we can. Can’t justify the expense for a newer model. Roomy, plenty of storage, comfortable. Not much kitchen counter space, but we get by.

2004 3295RK. Was thinking of upgrading before retirement later this year, but after researching and reading all of the horror stories about problems with new models, we are sticking with it for a while.

I’ve had to fix a few things, but nothing that compares to the problems some see in new models. Mine is rock solid and still looks good.

2011 295 RKD Mountainer edition with hickory and cold weather packages. Upgraded to 12 ply tires about 7 years ago- great decision! Other than some normal maintenance items it's been trouble free. We did have the toilet resealed this last summer as it wouldn't hold water. We were on vacation, so a mobile tech had it fixed quickly. I do keep our unit in a pole building when not in use, so it still looks new.

We will be putting it up for sale this summer as we anticipate buying a newer / bigger unit for retirement. I'll post on here when it's time.

We have enjoyed camping localy with our MONTANA although we purchased it just as covid hit and we just parked it. We want to do some camping at around 500 miles round trips this Year. we have been doing upkeeping and updating like the Lippet stairs, locks, the commode, slide out wiping rubber seals, etc.

We “inherited” my parent’s 2007 3400RL last July. “Inherited” as they are still with us, just not RVing any more. The Monty is our first fifth and replaces a 2003 29’ Wildcat.

The bones are great and there are only a couple body oppsies. We have replaced all flooring with LVP, painted, replaced the couch and recliners, and recovered the dining chairs.

They took her cross county from California twice. We are hoping to do the same along with lots of west coast trips.

Have 2003 3295RK Montana, has served me well over several years. Only mentionable problem is fading/cracking decals.
