Thumbs up RAM Trucks TOWING & PAYLOAD CAPACITY VIN Look Up

Hi,

a lot of us seem to be in doubt about the right numbers of their specific vehicle.
RAM went online with a Look Up by VIN Number as it varies significant depending on your trim an extra packages.
Select the Link "Look Up my Vehicle" on the right side and enter your RAM's VIN

https://www.ramtrucks.com/towing-guide.html

At least you know for sure

Mike

Thats a good idea to share as I already have done that and mine is 6750 payload and 30700 towing. No problems here.

Not for sure if the information on the web site is correct. Used the VIN
site has payload @ 3190
door sticker payload @ 3016
the charts on the site has @ 3300

The difference is about a tank of gas.

I would like to have the additional payload but i thing they would use what is on the door for payload.

but a great tool to use.

$2,000 to get replace and need to get recertifications to be legal. I traded in for a

The other problems with Dodge's weight limits is they don't account for tires. May old SRW had a payload higher than you could buy single tires for. Had to give up and buy a DRW.

You guys are making this too hard. For cargo capacity, look at the Tire and Loading Information sticker on the driver's door frame...it's different for every truck. Don't forget to reduce that capacity by the weight of what ever items you've added to the truck....bed liner, extra fuel, 5th wheel hitch, passengers, etc. For tow capacity, subtract the GCWR minus the actual weight of the truck. To be safe, I use the GVWR of the truck, then you'll be covered.
