Dog Warmer

Here is a picture of the the fireplace we added to
our 2006 2980RL. Cammie ( Our Dog ) thinks it is
just right. picture was taken last week on our little run
down to Northern California from BC.
There was more snow down there than we have up on the coast of
British Columbia.
Thanks to Campbud for the fireplace info

Great picture. I'll bet that dog thinks he's died and gone to heaven. We didn't order a fireplace in our 3000RK, but it came with one due to a mixup. We are soooo glad it did.

That is a nice cozy picture and I would love to have a FP in my 2955RL. I think the layout is the same as your model. Your Dog looks like a happy camper.

Where did you get your FP, thanks.

Hi Don,

Bought the fireplace insert from Rona in Abbotsford. The model number is 23E02 imported by Twin Star in Fla.
It was their display model, the only one that store had left. That was Ok, they gave us a hundred dollars off.
Cost $250.00 Can. We just took the lower cupboard doors off, Cut the lefthand and bottom of the cabinet out with a jigsaw, took the the panelling off the back and lefthand side (inside the lower cabinet) drilled a hole up in the back right corner to the entertainment unit so we could plug the fireplace in the plugs that are in there. Works great and puts out 750 to 1500 watts of heat.

Way to go! We love our fireplace and use it 90% of the time to heat the whole rig. On cold nights I have a small space heater in the bedroom too. No wasted propane!

Joe and Donna - We have the identical model as well that we installed in our 2980RL. We bought it at the Rona in Kelowna last September. We used it for the four months that we were down south in AZ. and CA. and it was great. The dalmations loved it and it is great when you can use electricity when hooked up instead of propane. In four months we only used two tanks because of the electric heat.
