Year warrantee to Expire

My year warrantee is about to expire.
Any tips on what I should have the dealer take a look at?

I will be taking off for the summer shortly, and hopefully have a trouble free summer.

I have a list so far, that I remember that went wrong with my old trailers.
Thanks.

I would thoroughly examine your roof to see if any of the staples are starting to pop upl. I had this problem on my 2011 while under warranty, then it re-occurred after the warranty" expired. While Keystone ultimately repaired it as a warranty item, it was a battle to get them to agree. The saving grace was the documentation of the repair during the first year.

Put a Extended Warranty on your list but other than that Tires of course and Lug nut torque, Bearings, check torque on U bolts on top the leaf springs, I make sure all my plumbing connections are tight under the sinks etc...I am sure your Dealer has a inspection list just like a car dealer that has a 15k service 50k service etc..

Look for any fit and finish issues both inside and out.

I find it interesting that something you pay $60-100000 for only has a 1 year warranty. My truck (which cost less) has a basic 3 year 36000 mile warranty. Hmmmmmm!

Have the servicing dealer check the brakes. At one year three wheel bearing seals leaked and destroyed the brakes. Now I'm waiting for a response from Keystone to see if they'll Repair the roof from staples ready to pop through the fabric. Also, baggage slam door hinges working loose and not able to be tightened.

If it is not broke the dealer will probably not fix it. It is a good idea to get and concerns on record with Keystone.

Extended warranty is better idea.

Thanks for the input.

CoRattler I agree with you on the warranty.
2 or 3yr warrantee would be great.

Seals and cables on slides. Had a rats nest of wires in my front slides. Fixed under extended warranty, but I suspect it was there from beginning. The seals can tear and bind on slides. Look for cracks in gel coat around all slides while open, including moldings around slides.

Check the brakes, had mine checked less than a month after the one year warrantee expired seals had failed and ruined the brakes, Keystone refused to cover, but Dexter did.
