New Montana in Beaumont

We got our new 2005 3295RK a week ago Monday at Lloyd's RV. We took it out over the 4th of July weekend at Gulf Coast RV Resort, which is all of about 1 mile from our home! A good thing, since we had all of the trouble with the A/C that others have described here - and them some. High 90's in the unit after Saturday morning! We gave up and brought it home on Sunday. I believe the unit is low on FREON. We will be installing another A/C in the bedroom for a backup just in case. I took it back on Tuesday to correct this and some other minor problems. Other than that, we love the unit. I have reconfirmed my belief that the first trip in a new RV should be very close to home.
Good to become part of the Montana family.

Welcome to the forum, Texan. It does help to camp near home for the first trip. You'll be pleasantly surprised at the customer support that Keystone offers so your problem should be solved soon. Happy camping.

Welcome to the MOC Forum. This is a great place to get support for issues. Sorry you had an A/C problem. You are probably smart to add the unit here in Texas. On the really hot days we run both ours and it is nice and cool. Happy RVing....

Welcome to the MOC Family.

Been having troubles with our AC as well but ours has more to do with low voltage here at the campground.

I was told by a Keystone rep that DuoTherm will replace the AC before they refil the freon.

Welcome to the forum. Nothing is perfect, and best to find any problems while you are close to home. Enjoy the Montana experience and don't forget to share your adventures.

Welcome to MOC!

That was indeed a very short trip—very convenient for a first trip out! Sorry to hear about the A/C problems and hope you work them out soon as the heat of summer is not as much fun when the air conditioner does not work.

Welcome and congratulations on your new unit. We have had problems with our A/C like everybody else, but we all learn from each other and it has helped us many times! Hope to hear more from you.

Welcome to the MOC, you might want to run your air on low on very hot days. When it humit it will freeze up on high. you may want to run the fan durning the night instead of shuting off the air.
Happy Camping

Wendell, I suspect your fingers were walking backwards this morning. I know from our prior discussions you meant to suggest running the fan on high, that the DuoTherm AC units tend to freeze up in high humidity situations when on low fan.
