So, you want to change or add a window?

Well, I do.
When I sit on our reclining Loveseat, I can't see out the back super-slide window, so I am buying one 7" longer. Same width. You would have a hard time installing a wider window, cutting the small amount would be difficult, so I am having a window built the exact width as mine. To find this, you need to remove the Valance, shade and trim ring. Guessing won't do it.

If any of you folks plan on doing the addition, or change, you need to know a few things. I put out a call for window suppliers from out members at MOC, didn't get any response, so I thought I would do a post on what I found.
Kinro. Some of us bought direct from Dawn there, not anymore. Her number we had is no good, and I was unable to buy direct from them from anyone. (Kinro supplys windows to keystone.)

Here are things you need to have answers for:
Type of window, probably 30 choices, (Solid, horizontal slider, vertical slider, pop-out…)
Brand: Parkin-Hehr, Kinro….
Safety glass, or not
Tinted, color of tint….clear, light grey, dark grey.
Radius or mitered corner
Emergency exit Escape window?
Color of frame; white, brown, black
Insulated?
Flat, contoured?
Screened?
Installs with clamp ring, or screws from outside?
Outside dimensions, rough-in hole size?

Here is a picture of the window under the trim ring:

There is a metal support 'foamed in' when the build the wall panel, you can see it in the picture.

You could do it Michael!
Does anyone have an accurate wall thickness on the super-slide?
I (think) it is 1 3/4"

When you enlarge a window opening in a bonded foam-aluminum framed wall: aren't you cutting through aluminum that frames the window opening? What you are seeing with the trim-frame removed is the triangular corner of foam that remains in the square aluminum frame when the radius window openings are cut, ...which is done after the frame-foam block are bonded to the interior and exterior wall panels.

Yes I would be cutting the aluminum frame, but by installing the window with the trim frame, it would be sturdy. The window would tie in the wall to the cut frame. The wall bonding they use is a sturdy system, I wouldn't be afraid of making the wall weak in the slide, it's only a short wall there, probably 3', and I would only be cutting the bottom, the top will stay the same.
