Jensen 12V Bedroom TV

3 times in the last 2 months the video has frozen while the audio continues. One of the three times we were able to turn it off and the other 2 times required unplugging since it would not respond to any commands. Afterward it was normal until the next time. Anyone else experience this? If so, does it finally go dead? Looking for warranty ammo. Thanks.

I have experienced similar things a couple of times until the television eventually failed. But slightly different symptoms. Is it an LCD you have?

In one case the unit was old (glass tube type) and out of warranty so I lived with it until it got worse and worse until it finally died. The second case (an LCD) occurred until I got tired of it and had it fixed because it was under warranty (The picture was out and would shut the whole thing down). It sure seems like your tele is getting ready to go bye-bye, so don't wait too long. The problem with these is that it can take a while to get it fixed because they'll try to reproduce the problem so they can fix it. In the meantime I hope they have a "loaner" program or you'll be catching up on reading without the tele around for a long time. But the video portion of your tele is definitely going bye-bye.

Our experience with these new LCDs in the newer Montanas have been with the local tv stations having problems. Seems funny there are no such problems when we are on cable or sat. We had the same thing here in Fla while using the antenna until we switched to cable, so I don't know for sure if it really is in the tv unless it still does it then.
Have you been having these troubles while on cable or sat, or just when over the air?
If you continue having these problems, let your dealer know BEFORE the warranty runs out, get a record of the problem for future reference.

The first time was over the air but not sure about the next 2 since it was the wife doing the watching and it could have been sat. or over the air. Will have to watch for the difference in the future.
