Kent, WA

My daughter is in the process of moving to Kent, WA. Does anybody know of any campgrounds in the area?

Mike,
Robbie Simons stayed in this park in Kent. It's a little rough looking but he said he never had any problems there.

I don't recall the name of the park but it would certainly be convenient.

There's a KOA in Tukwila which would be the next closest to Kent.
There's also Majestic RV Park in Puyallup.
Both of these parks are listed in the Woodall Directory online.

Good luck!
Judy

If you don't mind some driving, there is a NICE place up in Bothell...Pleasant Valley RV. Easy access to 405 to get back down to Kent.

We've stayed there more than once...really like it.

They too are listed in the campground books.

As I reread this, for some reason Pleasant Valley doesn't 'look right', but it is Pleasant Something.

EDIT: Here tis Sunday...Lake Pleasent is the name.

Mike,

Just found this post, sorry for my ineptness.

In the Kent area, there are two possibilities.

One is KOA, you need a gold brick to stay there, they are rude, the sites are small, and because there are so few RV-Parks in the area, they can charge a premium price.

The second is a private park called Willo Vista Estates. Willo is an interesting place. The park has RV’s and full-sized trailers. Typically, RV’s are in their own location, and we experienced no problems in the 5 months we had our RV parked there.

We paid $385 per month. Month –to-month there is no utility charges, but if you are there longer than a month, you have to fill out a background check for all adults in the household $35/each, non-refundable, and then pay the electricity.

Mike, PM me and I’ll shoot my cell phone number to you if you need it for more questions.

We are at Lake Sawyer in Black Diamond, not a bad place if you like sardine style living….nice views though! We will be here until the stick house sells…..so, if we can help, just let us know.

Hi
There is another park in the Puyallup/Graham area called
Ranier View RV Park. It is pretty basic, but has beautiful views of Mt. Ranier. The monthly rates are about $350 plus electric.
The people who work there are very friendly and accommodating.

It is a little distance, but there are not many choices in the area. There is also a membership campgound in Maple Valley, which is not far from Kent. It is Lake Sawyer RV Park.
The spots in both places are a little tight. Ranier view is a little larger than Lake Sawyer, but we put a 3400 in both campgrounds
Good luck in your search.
