Mattress replacement
Hi all, need to get rid of the OEM king mattress in our MT 3582RL. Going to a queen and looking at a Denver mattress Buena vista plush in the 80 inch as nobody seems to have a short except in all foam. Will the 80 in. Cause any problem closing slide? OEM is an 80 but very flimsy. Only have about 1/2 in clearance from dresser.
Also, previous owner accidentally shot a hole in the top of dining table, where might I get a new one?

We changed our king to a standard queen and have had no problem with the slide closing. Try Trekwood.com for a replacement OEM table.

You never know! Several years ago while in the transmission business I had a customer who accidentally shot a hole in his Jeep transmission. Costly mistake.

We went to the Original Mattress Factory and had one custom made for about the same cost as an off the shelf mattress. Got it at the thickness, firmness, and dimensions we wanted.

When we replaced our king mattress with a foam one from Wayfair, it was too long for the slide to close. When breaking camp I simply doubled it over and secured it with a tie down strap and problem solved. The other problem we experienced was that due to its size, the sheets and blankets had no place to tuck in at the foot of the bed. Enter the same tie down strap. Secured them to the bottom by simply snugging them down under the strap. Mattress is 11" thick and very comfortable. Just be sure it is facing the right way when you unwrap it. I didn't and it took two men and a girl to reposition it. Instructions said it would take a couple of hours to expand. Un Uh, popped open like a spring gopher out it's den after the snow melt. Price on Wayfair was 1/4 of other mattress and this particular one is top of the line.
