Magic Chef problems
We have two problems that we could use some help with about our Magic Chef range.
1. The electronic ignition seems to work OK on the single big front burner but not on either of the two rear burners.
2. The two rear burners have about 1/4" of difference on the dial between low and high.
Any suggestions?

Hmm,
Our stove two rear burners have two settings - on/off. no adjustment which is annoying. We won't change it unless necessary.
The wiring from the igniter to the rear burners could have fallen off. Tip up the stove top and you should be able to see if that has happened.
The wires, at least in ours, was simply pressed into place.

I learned that if I turn the knobs (for the rear burners) very slowly, I can adjust the flame.

On our 2005 Magic Chef stove,
1. The sparker is in the center with flash tubes connecting the three burners. If one works, then the igniter must be OK. Most likely problem is some obstruction in the flash tubes. Spider webs are a common cause of this. Lift the top and try to poke them out with a coat hanger wire or something like that.
2. Our back burners have a 1/4 turn between OFF and HIGH LITE. Once lit, you turn the knob back to get the flame size you need, (about 2/3 of pan bottom). It does seem that most of the regulation happens in about the last 1/8 of a turn, but it is quite controlable on ours if you turn the knob slowly while watching the flame.
Hope this helps.

There is a hole in the side of the burner that is suppose to line up with the ignition tube. On our SOB trailer the burner was assembled wrong and would not lite with the igniter. The hole was a quarter turn out.
