Shower Head

Has anyone replaced the cheapo shower head that comes in our not so cheap Montanas? I was wondering if a regular stick house bathroom shower head (ie Waterpic) fits? I've seen some at the RV stores but they are double the price of the ones at a regular store but I'm not sure if they are the same size connector and threads.

I will be watching for the reply, also, Chester. That new Montana just keeps the economy going, doesn't it? I know that I have a lot of great new toys because of the Montana.

Yes. The home ones fit, but you may have to try a few to get the right results. The water pressure can effect the performance quite a bit. Also, we wanted one that you could turn off, to conserve water. This was hard to find, but we found one at Walmart that has four different spray patterns and one is "off". The replacement we bought is quite a bit heaverier than the stock one, so we are careful to unscrew it, and stow it during transport. Great upgrade.

I tried taking a shower head from my house and putting it on my RV shower..... It would NOT fit. The connection was a different size. So I said.... well I'll just take the entire thing.... hose and all. So take it off the house and try to fit on RV..... again it would NOT fit. Seems they made a different size for house and RV. We had had to replace our original shower faucet due to a leak. Could only get the same thing as we had taken off. It's very interesting to read that some folks have been able to interchange the shower heads! Wonder why there is a difference? Thanks for all the good info.

Mike, I assume the water pressure was ok with the unit from Walmart??? Do you remeber the name on it? I'll look at our local Walmart for it.

Hamrad describes exactly what my concern was!!! Interesting how his wouldn't fit and Mikes did!

Thanks
