Has anyone moved their dining room table...

to the back of the RV? We have a rear living room and already took one of the recliners out. We have ordered a leather loveseat (two recliners) and a rocker/glider with matching footstool. Our kitchen opens to the rear (we have the L-shaped counter similar to the 3400 except that it opens toward the rear). I recently encountered a picture of a Mountain Aire fifth wheel that had the dining room table and chairs by the rear window and it looked pretty nice. We would be the glider and footstool in the dining area. Just wondered if anyone had tried this arrangement.

I moved my table to the rear for awhile and moved the recliners to the table location. I did like this arrangement as at that time I had a view of the river. I have since moved everything back to the original location as I am not able to move the recliners every time I open/close the slides with the bad shoulders. When you get your new loveseat in, please if possible post pictures. I would love to see what that looks like, as I to would like to get rid of the recliners.

PS~ the recliners were alittle tight in the table location due to the lack of space. Also they had to be pulled out a bit to allow enough room behind them to recline back. The problem there was they were pulled out far enough to block some of the walking room around the island.

Montana Sky, I was thinking that the rear location for the table would/could give you a beautiful view if you were backed up to mountains or a body of water. Now down in the valley, we were backed up to rig behind us with only a couple of feet between us.

I was thinking that this arrangement might be more desirable for us because we are going to have the glider/footstool which is smaller and lighter weight than one of those heavy recliners. It will be interesting to see how everything fits once we get the new furniture. I will put a picture up when we get it all set up. The loveseat is awesomely comfortable.

The biggest problem I had was the amount of space the recliners took up in the "aisle" way. I did really enjoy the view I had from the table being at the large window. Now I am really interested in your love seat, would like to put one where the sofa is and move the sofa to the rear window. A smaller love seat replacing the sofa would give me more room around the table with 4 dinning chairs. Oh the options are endless.... Just curious, where did you find a love seat that would work in your Montana?

Our daughter works in a furniture store. Isn't that convenient? But I think it's a Berkline which is a fairly common brand. Do a search under 'reclining loveseat' or something similar. The size isn't too much different from the present sofa. The one we ordered is large and squishy. Can you say 'comfortable'???

Dave, do you have a Recliner Land where you are at? They have a large selection of loveseat recliners to choose from. What I like about it is you can take them apart and get them through the door and then put them back together again.
We have a loveseat double recliner next to the dinning room table, and a full sofa in the back with a recliner at each end.
We found these at the “Costco Home Center” in Kirkland they are the wall hugger type.

We switch our recliner with the table, half the time. We put the table in front of the curio cabinet and the recliner where the table was.

That sounds oh so comfy. I will have to search the furniture stores around here and see who carries that brand.

The Oldguard,
No Recliner Land around here, but I am in the Seattle area often. Sounds like I might need to take a run to Costco home center next time I am across the mountains. Thanks for the tip.
