What is the replacement digital thermostat

I read somewhere that some have replaced the thermostat in the monty with a digital unit..

We had the same one that is standard in the monty in our current RV.. and it does not work that well.. I am hoping that with the new RV we can replace the thermostat with a digital one which will hold the temp at a more consistant level.

Thanks!!

Most have replaced their units with Hunter Models, here is a link to a MOC member's (Fulltime Dreamer) Page: Hunter Thermostat Upgrade

If I understand you right, you are getting a new Montana? If that is the case, it should come with a digital thermostat (Dometic Comfort Control Center). These work fine, and there should be no need to change it.
If you get an earlier one with the remote thermostat, read the long thread on the remote, and take steps to get it replaced with the Comfort Control Center (only one that will work in that situation).
If you have a still earlier model, then you may have the analog thermostat, and that can be replaced by the Hunter (or any other self-powered digital thermostat).

Hope this covers all the variations.

The unit is brand new.. it just has the little slider on the side that goes up and down.. I would like a digital one that would hold the temp in a more consistant range.
