alitmeter with thermometer

Bought a a new Ford F350 XLT. We wish we would have gone the xtra mile & purchased the Lariat, because now we're looking for something that will give us the el & ourside temp. Wayfinder had a new one, that I found on line, that sounded great, but they've discontinued it already. So sure would appreciate some advise on this.
Thanks. Ed & Darlene

Check out "Oregon Scientific". I have one of their instruments that I mounted over the rear view mirror of my truck. It gives you altitude, outside and inside temperature, compass heading and several other parameters. Mine is several years old, but if you google them you might find that they still have them. Be aware that the altitude on this is measured by barometric pressure and will vary with changes in the weather.

You can buy the rearview mirror that the GM's use with the compass & temp built in but they are a little pricey, $275-$300. There is a unit sold at CW that is a wireless temp and a compass. We have that one but the temp sensor went dead and I have to replace it but other than that it worked good. Had it for over two years. I believe the name of the company that makes the mirrors for GM is Donnelly Corp. Check J.C.Whitney's website for that.

Same for Ford - you can purchase the one that has the temp and compass in it -- I don't know of any that have altimeter in them though.
