Photobucket
Can somebody please tell me how to get photos from the computer to Photobucket or someplace where I can use them???
I have some instructions, but I can't get them to work, even tho I follow them to the letter. I plead ignorance!

The extremely simplistic answer,
open the account, and upload the photos you want.
if you have gmail, you have free storage at Picasa, LOTS of it.
I usually downsize my photos before I upload them. But, that is an entire different question and class.
Find a geek to help you, take a beginners class at a local junior college, etc. Call your grandchildren! (Sigh )
Good luck.

When I use Photobucket, I have to log in (You have to have an account with them). Once I log in there is a button that you click to upload photos. It's pretty self explanatory once you see and click on that button.

Hi Bill,
I just ran into a problem with PhotoBucket two days ago. I have had PhotoBucket for a couple of years and am comfortable using it. It simply didn't work. I contacted tech support and they figured it out in short order. Turns out that I am running Internet Explorer 9. IE9 is a BETA version and today it is not compatible with PhotoBucket. I used Firefox, logged in using my username and password and it worked as advertised. I thought I was running IE8. Somewhere along the way I upgraded to IE9. So if you are running Internet Explorer open it up go to help, when the help window opens, go to the bottom and select help about and it will tell you what version of Internet Explorer you are running. If it's IE9, that's your problem.
Hope this helps.

A while back I posted an explanation on "Adding a "States Visted" Map to Your Signature".

The State Map is a jpg just like your pictures. I used Tinypic as the repository rather than Photo Bucket. But hopefully you can follow the process and successfully load your pictures.

IE (Internet Exploder?)
I guess that is why I was able to log in (above) and verify. I always use Firefox.

Butch, the only problem with tinypic is they eventually delete pictures, probably when their servers get full. That's why I switched to PhotoBucket.

My experience is they delete them after some period of (long) time if they haven't been referenced. Not a good place for long term storage of the family pictures, but often good enough for forums such as this.

I started using Tinypic also. I was constantly having problems linking to pictures on Photobucket.

My appreciation and thanks to H. John Kohl for some telephonic assistance in bringing me up to speed on this subject.
