Size of page displayed is too large

Sometimes, when reading through postings, the page displayed is suddenly much wider than the screen on my computer.
This happens occasionally on first pages, but more often on second pages.
Is there a way to prevent this or to fix it when it occurs?
Thanks for any help with this.

Longwell,
There are several things that will cause this to happen. The most common cause is a very large picture. Another cause is a very long link address. Yet another thing that will cause this is when someone posts a message with a large number of repeated characters.

Some examples would be a long line of periods................. or ++++++++ or any character. Dashes and pluses and periods are the things we see most often.

Please alert a MOD or Admin when you discover one of these events. We will try to correct the event.

Thank you.

Larry,
Or use this as an opportunity to get a 24" wide monitor upgrade!!! Now since it is in writing, you have an excuse: "The forum said I really need a new, wide, monitor". Good luck with that hi-tech solution!!
