We had the dealer install the w/d. It works great,as long as you remember to keep the grey water valve open. But. Does anyone have a problem with vibration. My entire 3585SA shacks so bad i am concerned about the trailer holding together.
Do I need to take it back to the dealer, or is this normal?

Some shaking is "normal". Do you have a tripod and wheel chocks? Those will help. Also try to avoid loading the washer with any one heavy item, so that it has a chance to balance itself.

I do have wheel chocks but no tri-pod. Will that help the vibration.

Mine vibrates also on the spin cycle-man that drum turns at an ungodly speed.As John & Donna said you have to watch what you put into the drum.Small balanced loads are the key to keep the vibration down to acceptable levels.

Its kind of funny the washer/dryer was bought because the X wife wanted one.As it turns out we divorced before she got to see it in action.

Believe it spins at 1200 RPM during the spin cycle.

Also consider some jack stands about mid ship, when we are somewhere for short time, CountryGuy uses one jack stand per side. When we are set up for a LONG term stay, he will use two jack stands per side.

JT Strongarms also cut the rocknrollin.

When we had our Spendide in the shop in Elkhart they informed us that installations in the front closet definately "shook" the most.

I told Al (CountryGuy), to use this rocknrollin to our benefit, grab one heating pad, sit in lounge chair, and you have a version of those expensive chairs with heat and vibrator. For some reason, beyond me, he did not think this was particularly humorous.

Ditto the jack stands. I put a set on our 3400 directly under the washer dryer installation closet and another set behind the axles. It will not eliminate the vibration. Looking at the brighter side, when the spin cycle begins, sit down in your recliners and enjoy the unanticipated benefit of your factory installed..................... massage chairs!!!!

JT Strongarms helped considerably with ours. Still some vibration, but not nearly as bad as before.

I agree with the previous posters, it vibrates rather severely. Also, our w/d is plumbed directly into the exterior line, so it does not fill up the gray tank.

We have some shake with a normal load but if we load it a bit heavy or the load is unbalanced the shake can get quite bad.

I think shaking comes with it, just try to keep the load balanced.

Yes, Splendide washers shake. They have a large, heavy weight to try to eliminate this but it doesn't help. We visited the distribution center in Washington State and looked at several that were tore down for repair.

Any 24 inch stackable washer will work fine in an RV. We use the Maytage. I also rewired the 3400RL for a 220 outlet and installed a Maytag dryer. They wash and dry much larger loads, weigh less, and do NOT shake nearly as much.

When I was in Southern California, I was MOCing in bed on the laptop one evening I thought "hum, the washer is on the spin cycle..." I then realized the Splendide wasn't running! It was an earthquake. Felt just the same.....
