Dometic dust bags
Does anyone have an alternate part number and manufacturer for the Dometic dust bag for the built in vacuum?

I got ours at CW on our last visit. I must say that they do have a large price markup on them.
After looking at this post the markup is the same online as CW. I can see the headlines now.......RV users are forced out of retirement to keep up with their cost of vacumn bags.

The package at CW is a bit pricey but includes the filters that have to be changed periodically. There are two. One is changed more often and there is more than one in the package. Other brands may not contain the filters.

If you do a search on the central vac, I have posted the part number, the upc, and the model number. I have purchased mine from Camping World. I believe the price is somewhere around $12 for 3 bags. Since I am not home, I am sorry I cannot give you those numbers again.

Our dealer's service manager told us during our walkthru to get the Dirt Devil bags from Walmart. I've not yet tested that theory but you might take the physical dimensions and check it out.

Exactly why I did not order that option. My dirt Devil bagless with beater brush and 1.5 gal shop vac do a way better job. A filter once a year is much more cost effective. Not to mention I get to vac the TV regular.

That is a good setup, Tom. The only reason we opted for the central vac was because it does a better than adequate job and, most importantly, we did not want to take up any more storage with something like trying to store a vaccuum cleaner if it wasn't necessary. We are very happy with our central vac, even thought the hose can get a little cumbersome - still stores nicely.

As Dave said, that's a good setup. However, we're finding the central vac with beater bar is far superior to anything else we've used in the way of a stick vac. And does just as well as our super duper home vacuum. And we don't have to find a place to store it. For those of us heavily loaded, space is at a premium. So we're thrilled with the central vac. Not to say a home vac is not a good choice, too. It's just no longer necessary in my opinion.
