Carl, while trying not to vary too much from this thread, why did you choose an Onan over a Honda? I thought I had read that while Onan's were great units, they did come with a higher noise level? I know I should have a gen... wife just mentioned she might not mind "some" boondocking" (surprise to me). But I was thinking Honda for FT. I would value your opinion. Also, how heavy is the Onan? As you know, we also want a 3400RL.
Thanks

Sounds like a good plan to me. The 3400 should do well in your situation. We now have the inner seals on all the slides pulling loose. I cannot figure out why but could be because of how often we use them or how much travel we do or both.

MIMF, I look forward to seeing your Challenger in Minden. Is Mrs. MIMF coming with you? By the way, is "MIMF" an acronym?

As for being more of a pain to setup and breakdown a FW, I'd agree with that. However, if we were very concerned about that we'd have gone with a Class A. We considered those but much prefer the layout options of the FW so figure the additional setup/breakdown is the price we pay for the comfort we have. We spend a lot more time inside the rig than we do setting up and breaking down. We more and more stay a month or more in one place but still have quite a few shorter stays. So I personally would chose the rig based on being comfortable for the biggest part of our time in it.

Steve,
I agree with you on the "choose for where you spent the most time". It seems that most people with a motorhome tow a vehicle behind them. We've watched many hooking and unhooking this vehicle. Seems to me they spend as much time doing this as we spend hitching up. And a lot of time they have to find someplace before they get in the park to do this.
Happy trails.................
