connection between awning and vider

I have a montana, 2001, 2955, the awning bracket at the bottom of the awning has been pulling away from the side of the fiver. I have replaced the wood bolts with larger ones and it is happening again. I removed the back to wood bolts and replaced them with molly bolts and it is till pulling away from the side of the fiver. any suggestions. keep your rig on the road and a smile on your face. w.z.

Watch mine closely. Have been thinking abaut a method to re-enforce the bolts but have not come up with anything yet. Good question.

I've had the exact same experience except that the longer wood bolts are holding so far.

If it starts to pull loose again I think I can access the back of the bolts via a knockout panel on the bottom of the lenin closet in the 3655FL's bathroom. I intend to put a piece of 2x2 behind the exterior wall.

Good luck,
Craig

Can you tell if the wood is rotting, like in water damage? I had that happen on an old Wilderness fiver and had to pull the skin and replace some of the wood frame. I assume this is just a wood backing for the mounts.
