Recomendations for bedroom set

Hi,

We just purchased a Mountaineer 285 RLD. It came with one tv, but we need to add one to the bedroom. The cabinet allows for a 24 x 18 inch opening and from what I have checked, a 22 inch tv will fit. Has anyone have opinions on which type or setup would work best in this unit? I have found a couple but the base does not swival and seems small.

Thanks

Steve

Steve, If you can mount a brace behind the TV you could mount it on a swivel type wall mount. That's what we did to a 32" in the living room...Just a thought!!!

Phil is right, you are not restricted by the opening dimensions. Only by the actual measurements of the panel the hole is cut out of.

Here is another option. I used a piece of steel (although if I had to do it again, I would use aluminum stock with a couple of braces), bent at 87 degrees (to account for the weight of the TV) and bolted the TV to the steel and the steel to the bottom of the cabinet. As you can see by the photos, the TV is quite a bit larger than the opening.

Here is another option to mount a “LCD” and open up the cabinet for additional storage behind the “TV”.

Also added computer speakers and subwoofer for sound system, and it really sounds great and DW loves the extra space.
