If you're Sirius about satellite radio......

I love it, we listen to the same station,(no commercials) all the way across the country. When we get to a spot, I like to listen to the same great choices we have on the road, so......
I installed the associated parts in the Montana, complete with a remote, so I can mute, hold a song, (like our Tivo) replay it or adjust the volume.
I will attach pictures, I hope this is Ok, I re sized them, but all this computer stuff is Greek to me. If I goof up, holler at me and I will do something equally stupid.

Sorry about the size, I'll refine my picture posting excursions, it's hard enough doing the Mod's, then learing all the posting stuff.... I'll get there.

OZZ, Did you use the Monty's speaker system? Can't see that in picture. Where did you get the docking station? Our son gave us Sirus for Christmas last year. He gave us the boom box with it. A little big.

Hey OZZ - again I like your set up, my truck came with the Sirus in the radio, however you have the best deal where you can take it out of the truck and reinstall in Montana. It would be nice if I could, but thats the way it goes. We enjoy not having commercials also Christa and I use it everytime we head down the road. I think blue collar comedy has a lot of my interest ha ha

We have XM in the truck but our DirectTV in the Tana has the same music so we put that on while inside. LOVE IT.

Helen, I was just going to say that. Our truck came with XM but we decided not to pay for it anymore. DirecTV has it and I still like to play my CD's better.
Ozz, good use of all that wasted space in the entertainment cabinet in the 3400. I'm still working on ideas for that.
Happy trails........................

Sue, I would have thought the same thing before this summer but on our journey to Alaska and back, even the cd's got old so we had the XM put in the truck. I will still play our CD's and buy new ones but I love the Oldies and Classic Country. We also like to listen to the talk once in a while and we really missed not being able to get the news and Stock reports. Now we have the best of everything for $12.95 MONTH.

I just bought a second kit, did a little filing, cutting and schmoozing, and the head fits both units.
The great thing is, that the antenna receives right through the slide out ceiling.
It's wireless, and the unit head sends a signal to the Monte receiver wireless.......Magic!

XM and Sirius is great for those that love music and hate commercials, but you can create your own commerical free music with one small addition to your computer. Below is a Belkin FM radio transmitter that plugs into the earphone jack on the computer. It plays on any FM radio receiver on 88.1 88.3 88.5 or 88.7 frequencies and is powered by two AAA batteries.

My computer contains a program called MUSICMATCH JUKEBOX. It has a feature called Auto DJ and I never know what song will come up next. Best of all the software has a volume equalizing option. All songs are played at a preset volume on any radio in the stick house or in the Montana.

Another advantage is that you don't have to take up space storing CD's or wait until you change the CD to resume listening to music again, just another way to utilize the computer.
