Good Sam RV Insurance

I am looking at changing from GEICO to Good Sam RV Insurance which is under GMAC.

Is there anyone out there with Good Sam / GMAC Insurance. Looking for pros and cons please.

This request turns into a pumpkin on 7/19.

Get you one of those gizmos that roll paper into logs for the fireplace. GS will besiege you with junk mail.

We have GMAC - no junk mail. Fast, easy, great claim service but premium did go up a little. It may have not been contributed to claim. We are happy so far.
Happy trails.............

We were quoted rates on the Good Sam insurance but found it to be quite a bit higher than the National Interstate... We went wit NI over five yrs ago and they have been great. We have the $500 deductable.

Have been with Good Sam (GMAC) for at least 15 years- Am very satisfied with the fulltimer plan- All claims settled promptly- Have not had a problem dealing over the phone or email- Possibly more expensive but as Orv says " you get what you pay for"- JMHO- Don

John,
I have had good luck with Progressive.
I don't know anything about GSI.

We too found Good Sam to be very high compared to National Interstate and the NI claim handling was very good when I had to have the underbelly replace after my Carlisle blew out

Many people may be confused about estimates from GS / GMAC because they give quotes for a year, NOT 6 months. It was the cheapest I could find, including my regular carrier, who at the time was Allstate. I have had two claims and there hasn't been any major issues on either. There is one thing to be wary of though. If you have GMAC insurance on both the tow vehicle and the trailer, and one hits the other, they will not pay! Same thing for your cars - if they are all insured by GMAC and you accidentally backed into one with the other one, they will not pay! That's why only my trailer is insured with them.

Not confused - I want my rig insured for the entire year. We head west or south in the winter and when home we use it through out the summer and fall. GS quote was much higher but that was a couple of years ago...don't know what the rates are today.

We've had GS for several years and have been happy with the customer service, claims service and premiums.

I have GMAC thru Good Sam and can't say enough about their claim service. When we were heading home from the National Spring rally we totaled our 2007 3075 and they handled the claim in a great way. I was very happy with our settlement.

I must say that I was also very happy that we already had a 2011 3400 Hickory on order.

FYI, you might want to check with USAA...understand they are even letting Marines in now.
