LAKE SISKIYOU RALLY BOOKS INFORMATION

We hope that everyone attending the rally will want to participate and be a part of the rally book. We will send the rally book questionnaires out to everyone today via email. We are trying something a little different this time: instead of asking you to send us a separate picture, we are asking that you attach a picture of yourselves to the word document. Each questionnaire at this point is 2 pages. We ask that you try to limit your space to the 2 pages. You can actually design your own pages: you can place your picture(s) wherever you like (you can also attach a picture of your animal(s), RV, etc.), such as the top, side, bottom, wherever. Also, you can put your names, MOC number/name and location next to your picture if your like. You can keep the questions with your answers or delete the questions and just provide your answers. You can add artwork, borders, etc. It is yours to have fun with. The document has been saved in rtf format (Rich Text Formula) so that no one sould have a problem opening the document.

Don Kidd has graciously offered to print our books again, thank you Don! In order for us to get the information to him so that he can do his magic, we must have your pages back to us (via email) by:

I think this idea of making your own page is fun, except I was a little stressed, we have never done something like this before. Hopefully it turns out.

Got the Pm message, before I send this off again, can you tell me about the Word program. Does it matter which Word program?

I am asking because, I created our page on Microsoft Office Word 2007. If I open the same page up in Microsoft Office Word 2003, then the photo and some fonts are jumbled around.

If anybody else could tell me what Word program they used to sent their questionnaire I would be grateful. ( I want to get this done )

Denise: I have found that Word 2007 works well if the file is saved as either RTF (.rtf) or Word 2003 (.doc) format. Unless you have tweaked it, Word 2007 defaults to .docx which is incompatible with ALL of the older Word versions.

I used Word 2007 to produce out bio and I cut a couple of other folks bios from a Word 2003 document we used for the Spring Rally last year. Nary a problem in either case. Word 2007 is fine just save it as RTF.

Thanks for the above info...those three little words RTF, means so much when it comes to these programs....thanks for the reminder.

I did encounter another problem....but I did get my original questionnaire sent out. I did try a second one, and kept the same format, except I had put our MOC name at the top as a title (it still kept it all on 2 pages) and my e-mail will not send it out as it says too many mgs. All well at least we got one in under the time frame.
