Outside Shower Hose

Hey guys. Bought my 3810MS used and it didn't come with an outside shower hose. I ordered one from Trekwood.com and paid for it to arrive today since we are taking our three grandkids camping tomorrow.

Well the hose doesn't seem to be the right fitting. It won't go in far enough to latch on.

What am I missing here? Is it a standard quick connect hose fitting? Is there a trick? I am bummed because we really wanted to use that shower to wash the sand other stuff off the kids before letting them into the RV.

Is it one of the blue coiled hoses with a quick connect fitting? I know at times I have had to really push to get mine to latch. And sometimes fight it to get it off again. You might try some plumbers grease to see if that might help.

Also some have posted that you can buy an adapter with the quick connect fitting and standard garden hose fitting so you can use a regular hose. Don’t know where to buy one though.
