It will be 10 years this next June. Where has the time gone. Enjoying it every day. The days fly by, and I wonder how I got things done when I was working.

(4) working days left trying to get all loose ends tied up. Heading to Florida. Ah warm weather.
What a hassle with insurance. Me on Medicare. Wife on Oboma Care we think. Web site not working half the time. What a mess. Really miss the insurance at work already and not having to deal with our government.
Hope it gets better. Sure looking forward to retiring.

Have been retired for 2 years. I work part time at the old job and it is with my schedule. Earn extra money to buy fuel for out trip to Arizona in Jan where we spend 3 months. Enjoy golf, pool, sunshine, baseball spring training and lots of relaxation. We travel with 3 other couples and have a blast. During the rest of the year we do small trips that last a couple of weeks. We go home and catch up on chores and then take off again. We love it and we love RVing. Meet the nicest people in RV parks. Can't wait for January. Have fun with retirement.

I've been retired from the Dept. of Defense for 3.5 years now, and I tell all my friends that are still working (Usually the ones that took on a new 30 year mortgage at age 50) that retirement is not for sissies!
I have been way more busy since I retired. The difference is though, it's MY busy, on MY clock and schedule. Those retirees that get "bored" need to seriously get a life, get hobbies and get passions in their life. I STILL have many projects undone because I run out of time every day. I have WAY to many hobbies and passions. I am 60 years old and just went back to snow skiing when I retired. 55 times on the mountain last year! I do 100 mile bicycle rides every summer, I love helping out neighbors and I do all the cooking in our home (My wife especially likes that part). One of my retirement goals was to learn music, so I have been in lessons for 2 years now. Last week I returned from my first overseas trip ever, to London. When I can squeak in the time, I even manage sometimes to hit the road with my Montana!

Gina,
Are you hanging out with Mickey, Minnie and the whole gang?

I retired in 1998 and it didn't take; went back to work in 2000, but then I retired in 2013 and so far it has taken. I'm too busy camping, getting ready to camp, or cleaning up after camping to thing about working. I sometimes golf if I have to. :-)
