Mystery switch
We own a new 3400RL. We have only had it a year and have only used it twice so far. There is a rather large, white rocker-type switch located on the light/slideout/awning panel on the wall by bedroom stairway. We have the Fantastic Fan and it is located below that, but is not related to the fan. It is identical to the switch that operates the lights over the bathroom sink. When we use it, we can't find anything that turns on or off, etc. Feel rather stupid asking about this, but just can't remember what it is for??!!

On our 340 Big Sky it`s the switch for the ceiling fan.

That is the
SELF DESTRUCT - I HATE THIS THING WISH I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT A MOTORHOME Button!!! Don't ever push that unless you're serious!!!
Actually everybody else is right - it's the ceiling fan on ours. If you have the chain pulls in the off position for both the light and the fan, it would seem like that switch does nothing.

Dub/Dito you might have tocheck the pull switch on the fan that might be off too in order fo it to work.

Or the light on the fan. You may have to put a bulb (regular AC) in the light, ours didn't have one.
Happy trails...........................

Steve,
I put a Hunter remote control on the fan and light with the receiver in the cowl at the ceiling (shown in my mods page). I just leave the switch on now and control it from the remote.

Thanks everyone for your wit and wisdom. Yes, I had forgotten that we turned the ceiling fan and light off with the pull chains a few months ago. Senior moment. "Let there be light" (and always ready-to-help MOCs!) IF ANYONE HAS THEIR FANTASTIC FAN ALL FIGURED OUT AND DOING WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANKS AGAIN. Brad & Dory: When we built our home four years ago, I bought a remote controlled fan/light for our bedroom. Unfortunately, it wasn't a Hunter as all of our other fan/lights are. Have never had problems with Hunter products. We do not like our remote controlled fan/light for various reasons, one of which is that my husband keeps forgetting about the wall switch needing to be left on and he turns it off. Now we have two people with senior moments...yikes! Guess I'll have to tape the switch in the on position.
