wall strut failure

so we had a problem with a wall strut in our 305RL HC busting loose from its anchor point next to the dining/recliner slide. Fix it shop says it was a design flaw in the rv with the wall struts too flimsy to support the anchor points thus breaking loose and the whole wall moving in and out with the slide operation. contacted Montana and they denied the claim saying there is no mfg defect even though the shop repair invoice stated the contrary. Heads up to anyone with the cable slides, especially the larger slides as the wall struts are not beefy enough to withstand repeated slide operations. $1200 repair bill to re-weld and renforce the anchor point on only one side of the slide... just saying!!!
