Florida??? Where do you stay?

Just came back from a driving tour of a couple places.... OK so EVERYONE is in Florida, nothing for the next couple months. So where are you? Where do you suggest? Central to Southern but NOT Miami. Looking for options for next winter since this year seems to be out.... Thanks

We like periwinkle campground on Sanibel but they don’t allow pets if that’s a consideration. Our first time trying FL this year and we were lucky to find some cancellations near Ft Myers at San Carlos RV Park, also the KOA in St Pete, And Joy RV near cocoa beach. Places get booked early from returning guests including Canada so it gets hard to find places. Good luck.

I feel your pain. As a Florida resident, its getting tougher every year for us to find a site as well. Snow birds have descended en-mass this year. Its always harder to find a spot on either coast or the further south you go. Try north central Florida - around Ocala, Gainesville, Crystal River, cedar key, etc. Warm climate and not as crowded as our southern areas, especially Orlando, Tampa, etc. Good luck.

We stay at Hillcrest RV Resort in Zephyrhills, north-east of Tampa. There are still some sites available. This is our eleventh year in this park. They allow pets, but dogs are only allowed in one section of the park.
