finally independence from CHINA

got my new good year g-614 tires installed and balance yesterday I called good year customer service and instead of telling them the crap the marathon's where i went around it another way and paid off told them my tire where only 1 1/2 years old practically brand new but i was going to add more weight to my trailer and those tire would not hold the weight and i was going to buy the g-614 so they gave me a reference number and told me to give it to the goodyear dealer who was going to put the g-614 went there did what they told me and got credit for $66 dollar per tire plus there's a rebate now on the g-614 when you send it in you get 25 dollars per tire so the original price of the g-614 where 332 dollar i got them with the rebate plus the credit for the china bomb came out to 241 dollar not bad paus i had them balance with the tpms on so i'm ready for the road

You did really good on price! Anything below $310 or $320 any more is a good deal on the G614 tires.

I also changed out my tires to LT Bridgstons and am very happy with the results and pice of mind. That being said I had Marathons on my Mountaineer for at least 20,000 miles and they were ok.. But the rig weighed not much over 10,000 lbs and I never when over 65 mph. Marathons are ok for the lighter rigs as long as you stay under the 65 mph limit. I have a friend who said he read on the Goodyear site that if you add 10 lbs to them you can go to 75 mph??? I am going to have to resurch that a bit more. If the side wall says 65 mph max then I am not at all sure that one would want to air and go faster. Plus even with the new LT tires on mine do I want to go much over 65 as the faster you go the faster bad things happen. LMHO.

At least marathons were better (not recommending) than the crap that came with our 2015 on a heavy unit, 40.6 in length. Found them on the internet for $71 per tire. Even the dealer was apologetic and offered to replace them which was done before I would close the deal.
