I am running Michelin MS2 and have been very dissatisfied. These tires are worn out at 42k. They are wearing even but far to fast for the price of the tires. I will be looking for tires other than Michelin in the future. I had good luck with Bridgestones and will probably go back to them. I bought the Michelin's because of all the rave reviews. My experience is they aren't worth the extra money.

Just ordered 275/60r/20 Michelin LTX MS2 tires for mine this week. Very expensive, but peace of mind outweighs the cost. Sams club out the door price beat everyone else by $150.
Had mine put on today from Costco.

Has anybody had excessive outside wear problems on their Michelin truck tires? I have LTX M/S2 tires that are just 2 years old. I have excessive outside wear only on my rear tires. I took it in to a tire dealership and have been dialoguing with Michelin by Email with no help at all. The wear occurs on the rear tires and only on the outside edge. Tire pressure has been 80 lbs., the recommended pressure. I pull a 2010 Montana 3465SA. They checked the alignment on the front and rear and it was OK. On my 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 there is no adjustment to the back wheels but they wanted to check anyway.
Michelin has offered a 40% reduction for two new tires but that doesn't address the problem. Plus, the tires still have good tread on them minus the outside edge wear. In the meantime I've rotated the rears to the front and now the same wear is occurring on the rear tires ....

Frustrating!!

I have noticed the same thing with our Michelin's. I'm not sure I would call it excessive but they do tend to wear more on the outside edges

I hope you have better luck with them than I did. A 70000 mile tire that I'll get maybe 25000 out of.

Yup! That's where mine are wearing the most (but on the front) and I'm fastidious about tire maintenance.
