Where can I store that dish?
I didn't know where the area was to put this information and I know the MOD will fix it for me, so here goes.
I have a satelite dish as most of us do, and storing while underway is always that question, "where it wont get hurt."
Well I have the perfact place it fits like a glove and all electronics are protected a bungie cord can be used if you have doubts.
I hope this will be helpful to those who might need that simple fix for travel.
Update I just noticed that the screw that holds the LNB to the rectangular tube, has a screw that projects into the chair, and could possable damage the chair from the bouncing, so I am going to cut off the excess threded part, smooth it down, then place a scrap piece of new carpet between the chair and the LNB body that has the nut.

Ok, I must have had a "blonde moment" (no offense blonde's - my own hair is blonde but mine is from a bottle ), but I thought this was going to be some great tip on storing dishes (that you eat on/cook in) LOL This is a great tip irregardless!
It is amazing how creative some can be and so nice when they share their ideas so others may benefit from them. Thanks TT2!

What a clever idea! We just throw ours in the back of the truck, but if we ever get a new one, maybe we should take better care of it.

Thanks for the great tip, we are just now getting a dish (tv type) and I was trying to decide where I would put it. Now I know!

Hi, I drilled out the two rivets holding the arm to the mount and put bolts thru with wing nuts. When I put it away I take out the rear bolt, fold the arm flat and then reinstall the bolt. Takes up a lot less room.

We carry ours behind the driver's seat. Our TV is an extended cab.

If you want to keep it outside, here is an idea.
I bent an aluminum bracket and pop riveted it to the dish, a little rubber and a stretch cord. Rode good for 3,0000 + miles.

Ozz, hanging it on the ladder seems great. I might try that. I found a used middle sized hard sided samsonite suitcase at a yard sale. The dish fits in the top where the suit would be folded. The LNB arm, cable, wrench, level, satt. finder, compass, etc all fit in the bottom.
Then I just toss it all in the back of the truck, actually flat behind the hitch. The suitcase keeps most of the rainr out, but none of this stuff is hurt by water anyway.

Wow Guys! I never found that hauling a dish was that big of a problem. We have always just put ours in the basement, but after seeing some of the ideas, I see where we have been wrong. I really like the idea of hanging it on the ladder. Thanks Ozz!

O.V., I think it's that we just have too much time on our hands, to dream up this kind of Rube Goldberg stuff!
Just imagine what productive members of society we would be, if we channeled this energy in something for mankind....
Naaaa, let's just keep on doing RV stuff!

Ozz - this is for mankind! Now if you really want to be productive, you need to be a consultant for the Keystone engineering group!

Tried hanging our dish on the back of a chair as you show and it works great. Have travelled about 900 miles like that. Thanks!
