Front AC

We are noticing that when we have both ACs running on cool, the front fan continues to run and cycles the air on and off to maintain the proper temp. The rear (living room) air turns on and off as needed to maintain it`s selected temp. Normal?

Without being familiar with your thermostats, I can't say. it is probable that if you turn the fan on constant, it will cycle the compressor and leave the fan on (desirable)

Check your setting on your thermostat, I remember on ours, there is a setting for manual fan, verses auto fan.

You are right on and I thank you! It is just a matter of getting use to this thermostat.

Ours does the same thing. The rear unit will shut completely off when the compressor shuts off, just like our stick house, but the front unit runs the fan constantly, just like a window unit. We like it this way as it's nice and quiet when the main unit shuts off.

i'm not sure if this is your situation but we have 2 A/C units, factory installed, that never cooled properly. But finally we discovered...for $187.00...that montana put the themostat sensor too close to the unit in the bedroom....
we moved the sensor in the bedroom and we now have wonderful cooooool A/C.

there's a sensor on the ceiling in the bedroom. it was about 4 inches from the A/C...i unscrewed it and pulled the wire out, there is about 3 feet of wire and i moved it towards the window/tv area....cooooool air.
also, it is interesting that all of your A/C units shut off totally, mine is always on air or a/c, never totally shuts off, like a hotel room unit. i'm jealous of all of you that have units that shut off when it reaches temp.
