Question 1998-2004 Ford F-250 locking hubs

Can't figure out which direction my front hub locks should point. The Ford manual says the two positions are marked FREE and LOCK, but they are invisible on my hubs. Logic would suggest that the forward position (toward the front of the truck) would indicate LOCK, right?

Turn them clockwise to the unlock position. This is a backup system in case the one inside your truck doesn't work.

Ah. So the driver side turns toward the back of the truck and the passenger side toward the front of the truck. Thank you!
