Picking Brain of High Country Owners

Have any High Country owners moved from a Montana to the High Country. If so, what has your experience been? We are anxious to see new product at the rally but I'm not hopeful that there will be much added in the shorter models. We had a near mishap getting up the drive again after our Alaska trip. We need shorter and lighter. The 293RK looks promising.

Ron I really like our High Country. We had a 2001 2955 before we got the HC. There are differences. This is what I think so take this for what it's worth. The HC is a great unit to travel in while the Montana is a great unit to live in. I like the electric slides. They can be moved in any order. The only draw back is the floor isn't flat. The HC doesn't have all the storage space the Montana does. It isn't as nice doesn't have the wow of the Montana. If you are into wow factor. I'm not. It hast to be easier to pull than a Montana. I wouldn't swap for a big heavy Montana. I agree Montana needs a lighter smaller unit but that is what they have in the HC. .

Thanks, Lynwood. I'm curious about the floor comment. When you say it isn't flat, did you have an issue or is it a "feature"?

It's feature not a defect. The slides in the Montana when they near the end of their range move down to make level floor the HC don't so you have about an inch hump. It is really no big deal.

There should be some real changes as HC is now being built in the same plant as Big Sky and is now 100" wide.
