Roof Drain, ...

I asked a friend that had a Montana what he did about the mold down the side from hisroof drain. He told me he had no mold as he had modified his drain. He had taken a two inch length of 1/2 inch pvc tubing and split it. He then applied a small amount of pvc cement and stuck the split piece under the existing Montana drain. This extended the drain out beyond where it ran down the side therefor eliminating the mold problem. ... I plan on giving this a try next week to see how well it works. .. Good camping, ...

Please let us know if it works. I have the same problem also. I have also noticed it seems the caulking all around the coach gets mildew really bad. It cleans off but take a lot of elbow grease.

Hi Folks,
If I'm reading your post correctly, I think you are refering to the drip spouts. We saw a little trick use by RV'ers for years. Someone tried a clothes pin cliped to the down spouts. I now do this and it works great. I used white plastic ones so they blend right in to the Trailer. Never have lost one. And no more streaks down the side.
