Dish Net question

Bill,

I bet it's because it needs a clear shot to two satellites, and trees at campgrounds are like white on rice, causing trouble getting both satellites on the Dish system.

Because I only need one satellite, I like my DirecTV, too. I'm getting pretty darn good at setting it up!

There are several threads about the hows and whys of connecting satellite feeds to the Montys, and what it means to the two TVs inside. If you have one TV, it's less of a problem, depending on how you want to watch what.

But if you try to turn on the antenna amplifier, you stand a good chance of killing your reception on satellite.

If you let us know what you want to do, (and how many TVs you have,) we can go through it again.

With the Dish system, all you need for the majority of stations is one satellite, that being 119. Most of the time I can hit both 121 and 119 using my satellite finder. I have found the the most important first step before you try to find the birds is to know where true South is. Once you have this 119 is just a few click to the right.
