Glad things went well Dave! Use the clamshell brace and don't do any building of decks or anything like that! LOL You know what I'm talking about with that comment. Take care and hope to see you on the road this fall! As stated in a previous post-- the back will take a long time to gain strength again and believe me I know what I'm talking about there. Been there done that!

(Hopefully the Pain will end)update

Thanks for all the good wishes, I am now two weeks out of surgery. I have to wear this damned clam shell brace until the end of July. I am down to one oxy a day for the pain and starting to get energy back. Stitches came out Tuesday and everything looks good. Already starting home therapy with leg lifts and light crunches. I really need to build my core and upper body back up as well as my quads. Legs have lost a lot of mass and need work too. The weather here is fluctuating between 40 and 80 so I can get out on the road and walk some days. Looking forward to getting the clam shell off and starting PT at the hosp.

That is great news that everything has gone well and your pain is gone. I have constant back pain but I've been able to deal with it.
