Underbelly
Getting ready to replace the underbelly from the front of the Montana rearward to about the axles. Plan on using three pieces of 4X8 coroplast from the local box store. How should I seal the seems between each sheet of coroplast. I'm also open to suggestions as far as using a different material.
Thanks:
John

Earlier Montana's (2005 for sure and I think through 2009 and the introduction of the dropped frame) used 4X8" sheets to cover the bottom. They simply overlapped the sheets a few inches (starting from the rear sheet) and called it good. The belly has never been watertight with the various holes necessary.
Many of us have made "flaps" in the coroplast for access to valves or whatever. Most of us have sealed them back up using Gorilla Tape. That is some strong stuff! You could use that to cover the joints if you don't overlap the sheets.

I used Gorilla Tape to close the openings I've made.

Gorilla tape is what I was thinking. I had not thought of the overlapping, I like that idea, & will use it. Thanks for the response.

I like how Carl and Susan integrated their ladder into their paint job. That is so cool.

There is a tape specifically made for that reason. I bought 8' of it from our local State Trailer store. Works really well but extremely pricey. Next time, gorilla tape. Lol

Our 06 3400 had 4X8 sheets of underbelly .I do not recall overlapping. Gorilla tape does the job. The one piece underbelly is I guess great for keeping heat in the underbelly but only last till you get your first holding tank leak then invest in rolls of gorilla tape.

Did the job today. Got 3 sheets of 4X8 coroplast from the local big box store (all they had was white). This covered just what I needed, from the front, to a couple of inches behind the front axle. I overlapped the seems, & used gorilla tape. Not a fun job, but not too bad. Thanks to all who responded. I'm a few north of 65, & every job I do on my back in the driveway, I say I'll never do that again. Until the next time.
