Hitch for a 3400RL & a sb 07 Silverado DuraMax

Just bought a new 07 2500HD DuraMax Silverado (love it) and a new 3400RL Monty (we know we'll love that big honker, with some anxiety).
If there is anyone out there with like combo, I would be interested in your set-up re: hitch etc. Haven't picked up the 5ver yet. The PDI is tomorrow. We're excited. Spike and Karen

Love the "big honker" Spike. Have to make a list of names someday - Honker, Mother Ship, Tanna, .....

Anyway, you might mention if your new truck is a short or long bed, as it makes a big difference.

Spike, Its still there. It just rolled off the active topics list. Under active topics, find the "Active Topics Since" window and roll back a little, by hours or days, and it will show back up. Lot of posts that were probably added since you saw it last.

Brad - Welcome to the Forum by the way!

My picture says it all for me! Love the truck, the Duramax and Allison work very well together while towing my 3400RL. No problems in stopping, stability, or power. I have the Superglide for my shortbed and would not be without it. The hitch is cheaper than the cost of fixing the coach and truck when/if they make contact. Congrats on your new Duramax and Montana.

I will say you need to watch your weight capacities on the 2500HD. You can tow the 3400RL with the 2500HD and be within all specs of the coach, you will just have to learn what to pack where.

Congratulations, Spike and Karen. There are several here with your combination. Ours is the same except for brand of truck. Enjoy it!
