Not sure how close you want to find, Ky Horse Park is about 35 miles south, very nice park, like a state run park. Also just a little farther south is Fort Boonesbourgh (not sure of spelling), it is a state park. If i remember right both have elec. and water at site, dump station, and something like $20 to $30 a night.

Yes, for about 10 days. Whispering Hills, about 30min S. of the Ark. It's just N. of Georgetown/Lexington Kentucky. FHUs and pull thrus but very narrow, very transient (just off I-75) and road noise.

It is on our bucket list and we really wanted to see it.We just looked up the prices.48'.00
per person plus tax for the ark and 75.00 plus tax for all three attractions. That is sort of expensive so perhaps we will pass.

Rich, you have to do the Ark. Your so close. You could do it in the fall on your way south. We were in Michigan for Thanksgiving last year and stopped on the way south. Wow what an eye opener. Truly awesome. Then you could do dinner right there at the cafe smorgasbord. It was great also for 12.00. Desserts were iffy but the meal was good

We saw the Ark 2 years ago on the way back from the rally. The Ark was much better than the Creation Museum. If it's on your bucket list then it won't get any cheaper if you are already driving by it.

We left the National Rally two years ago and went to Indian Springs Campground. From there we went to the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. The Ark was about 30 minutes away. Nice campground. The Ohio/Indiana border was the double yellow line on the road leading to the campground!!

We would do a day trip without the Montana it is not that far away. We were hoping to do it this summer but my bad knee got worse and we need a new one.
