As I have said before, the only way this is going to actually get resolved is to start a class action lawsuit

Its so sad that owners have to endure this STUPID issue !!! I would take nothing short of a TOTAL ROOF REPLACEMENT on the affected slides, if it was on my coach. Again, I truly feel sorry for the owners that have to deal with this STUPID issue.

To answer Foodgod1's opening thread, thanks to MOC, I just became aware of this defect. Checked my 2018 345RL and all 4 membranes are bubbled. 23 months after taking delivery and never received a " Service Campaign " notice from Keystone regarding a " potential product failure " . I'll see if my Lazy Days dealer in Tampa will fight for me or side with Keystone. In the meantime, feel free to add me to the class action lawsuit.

Thank the Chinese sourced gear box's that bal accu slide provides to most of the RV industry. The manufacturers know they have issues but continue to use them despite knowing they leak (no seal on the joint) and the fact they use light crap white metal on the gears which strip long before the overload shaft breaks... The industry needs to step up and fix the issues and/or at the least issue a recall & service bulletin to have all units with these gearbox's repaired to seal the joint. I might suggest if yours hasn't leaked yet it might be a great idea to grab a tube of RTV from the local auto supply and run a bead around the joint before it starts leaking as I have.... If it is currently dry the RTV will stick to the housing and seal to the metal preventing the leaks. Sad they haven't started doing this as a minimum....

You remember that song? " I fought the law and the Law won " yep that`ll happen

So my last High Country did not have this problem, Lucky? But you guys with the new HC`s should just put a rag or sock under the gear box just in case till you get the trays. Yeh I know, warranty but not sure I would want to leave my camper in the dealers lot to do a patch job at best.

Great news. Keystone accepted the claim under warranty.
My Dealer is authorized to replace full roof of all 3 slides.
Now waiting for parts to arrive.

2019 Montana HC 375FL here! Just picked up from the dealer a month ago. Luckily, I read about this issue on here & checked ours'. Sure enough, no drip pans were installed, so I called the number posted & they sent them for free. I installed them before any damage occurred!

So what you're saying is after knowing the issues this whole time, they still haven't changed/opted for a different gearbox manufacturer. Very disappointing.

I was mad. The dealer has or should know of the issue, yet still ler it go out the door without the drip pans. No doubt they're hoping for a large warranty repair, down the road. Very disapppinted, for sure.

2 day trip tomorrow to dealer in Florida for the gear box issue. And more... check your rig's spec sheet from Keystone versus what they gave you. My 2018 HC345RL spec sheet calls for ST235/80R16 load range "F". My surprise when I paid more attention yesterday and saw the tires are load range "E".
Like my old Pastor says, "It just keeps getting gooder and gooder !"

Our '19 has the load range F Ranier ST's & I've read all about those on here, too. Right now, I just need to make a spacer to put under the spare, so the bars don't ruin it.

I have a 2018 HC 345RL and yes all gear boxes leaked and yes the roof showed damage. Went to dealer 4 times with it. Rejected by Keystone for replacement of roofs. Never heard back from NORCO. Every I talked to Keystone got a different answer. I guess you can't fight city hall.....
Happy......no. Very few people I've talked to know about the problem.. That's one thing they didn't want to hear starting there vacation in a new or fairly new rig.

I gotta say...I appreciate this forum. I brought my 305RL home 2 1/2 weeks ago. I came across this thread and immediately checked my slide roofs...so far no damage. I contacted Keystone, who suggested I call Norco. I did and they are sending me 3 drip trays as a preventative measure.

We'll see if or how quickly I get them but was grateful to be made aware of the issue before it became a problem.

Thanks all!

To make things better, they suggest after cleaning the oil off, work down the bubbles back down with a hair dryer and smooth them with your fingers, and lay a weight such as a brick on top of them overnight. So far, mine are looking really good. I’m still going to try it one more time. Good luck. AND, of course, they say the oil would never create a hole, just bubbles 🙄. And remember, Keystone loves you!

Two weeks ago I traded and early 2017 370BR with 4 slides on a 2019 3761FL. The motors never leaked. Maybe an early 2017 or maybe not all will leak.
