Lippert level-up System "ERROR"

Hi Y'all
Just thought I'd share this... We have a late production 2014 3402RL with the LCI Level up system. A few weeks ago we were packed up and ready to go so I went to the control panel to start the hitching process. All I get is ERROR on the display. This had happened a handful of times over the past years but always corrects itself in a matter of minutes. Not this time... Couldn't get past that screen and nothing else on the touch pad worked. I proceeded to check fuses, grounds connections etc. Then did a re-boot of the system. (Unplug the module and wait for 10 minutes) Still just a hard Error... I caved and called LCI. George at Lippert had never heard of just the word ERROR without a code associated with it. He asked me if I was comfortable over riding the system and he would do some research on the issue & get back to me. A 5/32" hex tool, a jumper wire and a little trial & error I got hooked up and off we went to our next destination. George sent me an e-mail with in a couple of hours stating he found that code is caused by a bad module. They are now sending me a new module and touch pad at no charge. Hats off again to LCI and their wonderful customer service.
Also, if you haven't tried it and are feeling adventurous. You might want to go through the LCI manual & familiarize yourself with over riding the system. Do it somewhere without "neighbors". It can be a bit sketchy at first & the instructions leave a lot to the imagination. The instructions on their site are a little more detailed. Funny thing is leveling a nice modern coach with a carpenters level. Wife say's it feels more stable and level then it ever has before. I have to agree.
Safe travels!

Customer service is always greatly appreciated but not as common as it used to be. Glad to see they took care of you.

Been thru two touchpads on our 2015. Love the leveling system but now carry a spare touchpad. No problems with any other system components, just the touchpads. We do put heavy mileage/usage on the rig.

My whole hydraulic system went out on our two month old 3950 BR at the rv site so we had to live in the bedroom and bath for three days with two dogs. Johnson Family Rv ( Hillesville, VA) came to our rescue and is servicing our 5th. now. Replacing the pump motor and valves, hats off to Johonson Family RV.

warranty. Hats off the Johonson Family RV.
