Woke up the sleeping giant.....
Just went out to the Monte, re-introduced myself, made amends for letting her sit for 3? years without so much as a how's tricks?
Started the A/C in back, purred like a kitten, started the heat up, cool beans... went to the bedroom 15K Duo, started it up... not so good, figure a big mud-dauber nest on the fan blades, shook like a dog passing a Peach seed... will have to pull some covers on that deal.
I have been reading the tire threads, probably 50 pages so far, a little cornfused, but lean toward the Michelin Ribs, do not know if I have to change wheels, need to get under her to check stampings.
I have a year to get ready for the road, but am starting now, as I have not started working the heating season yet. Just now have time to start a little work on the Monte. I have two clients that have 750 houses combined, I do all their HVAC work.
Miss all my friends on here, just read that the RGV is starting to be in peoples' planning, I think Sue and I will head to the High Desert next time, did South Texas, want to Winter somewhere new. We did stay at Havasu one Winter, too dusty and windy, maybe Parker next; but then it's too close to a Casino...
I have numerous UPS packages in the office with parts to be installed on the truck and Monte.
You all be careful on the road, and stay warm this winter.

Nice to hear from you again.
I put the Michelin Ribs on my '08 3400RL. It made the "between the wheel" chocks a little tighter, but they still worked. It give you about 1" more OD, but still cleared the frame, etc. I had 7K axle's.

Hi Wayne, new wheels? Are they 16, or 17"? probably 17 by the way I read it. I also am at 13'6" now, I can't stand any more height I don't know about my axles, will have to look for a stamping #. Our 3400 RL Montana was a late '06 titled as '07.

Nice to hear from you again Ozz. I finally retire and possibly have the time to head south from Corpus Christi/Port Aransas for a visit and you decide to head west. That's Murphy's law. Best of luck where ever you wind up.

Jim, don't forget other parts of Arizona, like Benson, Tucson, the Phoenix area, Yuma. You don't want to go to Camp Verde, though. It's right across the freeway from a casino and they even have a shuttle.

Welcome back Ozz, good to see you posting again.
If your wanting the Michelin XPS Ribs and can't stand the additional height of the LT235/85R16, you can go with the LT245/75R16. It has the same load capacity as the LT235/85R16 and is .4 of an inch shorter than the ST235/80R16.

You were on my list of advisors...on the top of the list.
I checked my wheels today, no paper tag with 80 or 110#, but they were stamped 3042#, my axles, if this matters were stamped W6-096A
I suppose 6K# Will I need new wheels?
I will buy the Michelins, have them on my truck, and have had them on past trucks. Just a great tire.
You are also on my 'Must see-meet' list for when we head West.
We are all glad you are a Montana owner here on the Forum.

Your wheels should be fine Jim. The tires, both sizes, are rated at the same 3042 pounds as the wheels.

I don't think mine are the higher pressure capable wheels.
