No rails in the bed when you remove the hitch.
We have a 2015 ram megacab shortbed... the trailer DID HIT THE CAB. Blew out the rear window as well. So please don't tell others they don't need a slider with a 6'4" bed..and to others as well. This happened with an Andersen ultimate hitch..Have a superglide now....

Even with somewhat rounded corners, a slider is needed for most short-bed trucks. I hit the corners twice with my setup with the unused manual slider before I bought an auto slider.

If you had read my post you would have noticed that I was responding to the post who said they had a long bed. Long bed does not need a slider. I have a short bed, I have a slider.

I have the B&W Companion in my '17 Ram 2500 4x4 SWB/ Auto Air Level - have not needed the slider yet. My problems are: 1st camper, dealer useless, Using Trial Air - so I don't know squat. Just had wet bolts put in and independent shop suggested raising pin box one hole to level 5er. When Whole unit is on level surface, what clearance should be between top of bed rails and bottom of nose on unit. Nose is still above level. .Can the RAM run down the road on "Alternate Trailer Height" setting?

New Truck, New Demco Slider

2019 F350 SRW and 2019 MHC 375FL and New Demco Slider hitch.

Does anyone have a similar setup so I can better estimate how high to set the slider hitch at ? We just ordered the 5th wheel trailer and I'd like to be close when we pick it up. Our first 5th wheel. The Demco has 3 different height settings.

I have Husky 26KW 5th wheel hitch for my F350 ford OEM Puck system and has been a very good hitch we don't need slider but they do have them also.
