Thumbs down Facebook group for horror stories

RV Travel, in an effort to try and shame the industry, has started a new facebook group to list issues customers are having and name names. Go to RV Horror Stories to join.

While we've had no issues with the build of ours, we certainly have had with makers of the appliances and other things they put in. Suburban's China bomb water heater spark module is my current main complaint. Dometic's refers, Lippert's many things and others as well. It's not JUST the manufacturers, it's also all the outfits that make those things that go into them.

Too bad that the originators of that site chose Facebook. I don't/wont use that format as others also have chosen not to or have left, especially since it appears that it 'leaks' prersonal information by the millions of users. Sigh

They are also doing a regular forum, like this one, I think (not 100% sure). I am not interested in the horror stories, as we are happy with our trailer. I tried to join their regular Facebook group, but there were technical issues, so I gave up. It wasn't that important to me, which is why I did not persist. I already belong to the two Montana Facebook groups, so that is enough.

I do get their newsletters and I am a paying member. Their stuff is free, but they would like you to donate. I have met Chuck Woodbury, the owner, several times. He is a very nice person.

I'm with you Dave W. We have never used or intend to use Facespace or Twiddle, If we want to know what our family members are up to, we either call them on the phone or visit them

I’m not a member of Facebook. If I were and they gave my person information away, no big deal. I don’t put anything on the internet I would mind anyone knowing. There are already tens of thousands of customers worldwide that know my name, address and phone number.
