Quest Home Theater System

I am curious as what outcome others have had with the cheap, Quest Home Theater system in their Montana's. I have had mine replace twice, for radio reciption not coming in, humming constantly when the unit is turned on, and speakers working for some movies and not outers. I am pretty good with this stuff, and have tried every configuration and setting know to man with no success. I finally bought a Sony system, and plan to install it when I take my unti out for the season in the spring. My unit is only one year old, still under warantee, and I know that on paper, these are like $200 untis. I was wondering if anyone has had any success with getting some kind of compensation from Keystone about this. I don't want to get the unit replaced again, as the 2 I had were bad, and the one in my 2003 Cougar was junk too. I would much rather they give me like $100 and take the defective unit back, and I will stick with the Sony. My dealer has been great in replacing it, however, they are not authorized to so something like that.

I'm just going to buy another brand to replace mine and possibly send the Quest back to Keystone. It's so cheap I couldn't even find a website for it.

Thankfully ours is working ok. I know there is another thread on this subject and a recommendation on a replacement unit.

I already did buy a new one, the Sony DAVB150, it is a 5 disc Home Theater System, and the speakers fit almost exactly in the spots already there. I too will send the unit back to Keystone, was just wondering if anyone had any sucess with getting any kind of recourse from Keystone.

The Quest 1000 system is about a $99 dollar unit, INCLUDING SPEAKERS. And I'm sure Keystone buys them in bulk to get a huge price break. I replaced mine with a $200 Koss unit, and it made a world of difference. I may put the old Quest unit in my rec room, or I may just throw it away!

Replaced mine with a KOSS unit from Sears. Best upgrade I've made so far! Any body interested in a new Q2000? Cheap!

Ours does the same. No matter what configuration it doesn't work. We are also having problems with dish network hookup. The satalite prep port is outside but doesn't go to anyghing inside. The dish network people had to go into the cable port witch goes to the booster and then back down to the tv in the living area. We were told by a company or two that no rv is wired correctly for satalite tv and they usually need to be completely rewired to work properly, that the material used is cheap and wiring is shotty to say the least.

we went to circuit city last night to buy a new unit, we listened to all of the sonys mentioned, we liked the one with the CD MP3 and vcr, we heard it and then came home and listened to the one in the camper and couldnt hear 500 dollars worth of differance. Let me know if anyone has any luck. I have a man coming in the morning to straighten up the mess that is in that cabinet, looks like a bomb went off. any info let me know please. Curmuddgeon -

We used Dish Network in our unit and had no problem. Worked great. Many of the people at the rally had dish or direct TV and never heard any issues. I did have to go in and follow the circuit a little to make sure everything was hooked up right. I didn't get it done right the first time, but after I took my time, I figured it out. Not quite as bad as an explosion in there, but plenty of wires.

As for the Quest, we just got our second unit and will give it a try. If not, I will work with my dealer to get it replaced.

I just asked this on another post about replacing the horrible Quest. How did you get the TV out to replace the speakers?
