Mor/ryde IS ?
?? We are thinking about having the Mor/ryde IS system and disk brakes installed in the spring. Have tried the last two fall rally to get it done and could not get it scheduled at Mor/ryde.
Has anyone had negative reaction to the IS system?
Is there much "adjusting" needed to driving with the new IS system and new brakes. ? ( we woud be going from Texas to Indiana to have the install done and then leaving Indiana heading west to Yellowstone and Tetons. And we were wondering if we should plan some adjusting time.
Thanks
our trailer is a 2011 - but we have no plans to get anything newer - we love our floorplan.

We had the I/S and disc brakes installed last year after the rally. We drove Route 66 down to Needles CA and then up to Sacramento before ending up in AZ for the winter. I watched for any tire wear along the way and did notice some wear when we were in Quartzsite. I called a axel repair shop in Tucson and an appointment to have the alignment checked when we arrived in Tucson. I contacted Rob at Mor/ryde about warranty info on the repairs since I was concerned about alignment since the installer had trouble getting the foward curb side tire to stay aligned. While in the shop they found 3 on the wheel bearing were not tight which is why he was having trouble with the alignment during installation. This wheel was the only one in which I was on site to watch him align so him might of had trouble with all of them. If I remember my bill was about $680 which I negotiated that Mor/ryde paid me back.
So would I do it again, yes in a heart beat. I have had no trouble with the brakes at all and have no other issues with the I/S. I do like the smooth ride and upgraded stopping power.
We hope to see you in Jackson Hole to get a update on how you like the new I/S and brakes.

We've had both now for about 4 years. We didn't get a mile from Mor/ryde when a little red car pulled right out in front of us and stopped dead. From a previous panic stop we knew we were going right thru her. Got stopped with a couple of feet to spare and Joyce looked over and said it was worth the money. We're fans and I imagine the scared lady in the red car is also.

Dick that reminds me of a friend. I ask him if he ever used his deer guard on his pickup "first day I owned it" Stuff does happen.

Never a issue had it since 2013 have it checked for alignment at every fall rally and after thousands of miles has not needed a adjustment. Even wear on the G614s

How much is it to have this added? Is there a discount for rally rates?

This is what I paid Mor/ryde. $6,120 but it included their Sliding Bed Kit, 5 new wheels w/mounting. I would deduct about $550-600 from that price.

Had the is and brakes installed last March. Excellent add on. I paid about 5700.00 for this plus 500.00 more for the sliding tray in storage compartment which is well worth the money for the organization you get. Tray was installed at no charge. They have a 10 percent discount from november thru march. Some of your best improvements are those made that knowone sees.As far as handling, you will not see any difference in it but the brakes are much smoother and the truck and trailer will stop quicker with these disc brakes than the truck by itself. This might seem far fetched but it is true for my 2013 ram 1 ton. You can actually slide the wheels on the trailer so you have to dial it back or you will burn up the pads quickly.I'm all about safety and there is no better improvement than brakes and suspension.I had one of my wet bolts break and shift the rear axle while driving down the hiway so i decided to go ahead and do this improvement. Good Luck.
