Tip for the day! Gray water valve!
I had a friend staying with me for two days before we headed for Epcot. I decided to leave the Gray tank open to keep the tank from filling at an inconvienient moment while she was here.
Headed off to Epcot and forgot to close the Gray valve. Had a great time. Stayed at the Dolphin. Great location and hotel. Loved the Flower and Garden show. Road Test Track. Ate and wined around the park.... It was magical!...Sorry I degress...
Anyway when we got back to Miss Montana we were greeted by a very bad odor. Turned out to be the Gray tank valve left open with no use for three days. Awful! Closed it and added some water and the smell went away.
My thinking is that with no water flowing and with the valve open the odor just came right up through the in-ground sewer connection and into the unit.
I am glad I left the AC off and the fantastic fan on. I would have hated for that smell to be circulated through the AC.
So my "Tip for the Day" is....if you are going to be gone for a few days...make sure the valves are closed. Some of you may already know this....But just in case someone doesn't I thought I'd mention it.
